Big Time Rush star Kendall Schmidt and band Heffron Drive have released an orchestral version of their new single "Parallel." Available on iTunes, it can be downloaded here: http://bit.ly/1xTgjP7.

"We were so excited to create an orchestral arrangement of 'Parallel' - it's a challenge we have never taken on until now," Schmidt says. "An atypical sound for us, the new version adds another dimension to the song. We hope you all enjoy it as much as we do."

"Parallel" is part of Heffron Drive's forthcoming album, scheduled for release this fall. Handling the global release of the album is Schmidt's newly formed private record label, TOLbooth Records.

About Heffron Drive

Heffron Drive was founded by Kendall Schmidt prior to his joining Big Time Rush. In 2008, he met guitarist Dustin Belt at an industry event where the two realized they shared many things in common: both had been born in Wichita, Kansas, and even lived on the same street - Heffron Drive. Aside from becoming instant friends, the duo formed the band. Thousands began streaming uploaded tunes via MySpace and the Internet was soon buzzing about the duo. However, shortly thereafter the Big Time Rush opportunity came along, bringing on Kendall and, eventually, Dustin as the touring guitarist for the group. The two never forgot about Heffron Drive though, stealing spare moments to write and plan. Now, an ever-growing entity in its own right, Heffron Drive is bracing for a big year. 2013 saw Schmidt and Heffron Drive both in the studio and on the road for much of the fourth quarter, selling out a headlining tour in more than 20 markets. Though Big Time Rush will always be a part of Schmidt's life - he recently finished up a South American tour with the record-setting group - he is looking forward to his continued radio success and a full length album release in the fall via his label, TOLbooth Records.
