Songwriters Edwin McCain and Maia Sharp return to the Peace Center for An Evening of Original Music, and they'll be joined by Gabe Dixon. The intimate, listening-room style concert will be held in Genevieve's theater lounge, located adjacent to the Peace Concert Hall, on Friday, March 2, at 7:30 p.m.
Singer-songwriter Gabe Dixon has held side gigs as keyboardist and vocalist for Paul McCartney, Alison Krauss & Union Station, O.A.R. and Supertramp. His songs have received placements on major television shows, including Parks and Recreation, Grey's Anatomy and The Vampire Diaries. "Find My Way" served as the title for the box office hit The Proposal, starring Sandra Bullock.
After recording two of the biggest love songs in the history of pop music ("I'll Be" and "I Could Not Ask For More"), beloved Greenville native Edwin McCain now performs upwards of 100 shows annually throughout the U.S. as a solo artist. Maia Sharp is an acclaimed songwriter, with songs recorded by Bonnie Raitt, Trisha Yearwood, Cher, McCain, and Art Garfunkel.
