Jump, Little Children Announces New LP SPARROW, Due 9/14 & Shares First New Song in 14 Years Image

Charleston, SC indie rock band Jump, LittleChildren is thrilled to share that their forthcoming LP Sparrow - their first new music in 14 years - will be released on September 14th, 2018 via The Orchard. The band has shared the first of that new music, "Hand on My Heartache," via American Songwriter. Physical Pre-Orders of vinyl & CD are available now at www.jumplittlechildren.com. Digital Pre-Orders are set to begin on August 31st and fans will receive "Hand on My Heartache" and "X-Raying Flowers" as instant downloads.

The decision for the band - Evan Bivins, Matt Bivins, Jay Clifford, Jonathan Gray, and Ward Williams - to create music together again was made after several successful reunion tours beginning in 2015. Reinvigorated by their ever-enthusiastic and constantly supportive fan base, they launched a PledgeMusic Campaign in early 2018 that was fully funded shortly after.

In January, 2018, the band sat down with longtime manager Vance McNabb to discuss what it would take to create a new album after a long hiatus. Jay Clifford, lead singer and primary songwriter, returned three months later with eighteen original songs, twelve of which make up Sparrow. The members of the group met that summer at the wonderfully quirky East Side Manor in Nashville, TN to put the songs together as a band. Drummer and graphic designer Evan Bivins then set about to create imagery for the album that would support the title track's poetry.

In Sparrow, loyal listeners will hear nods to the band's Celtic music origins, the heavier distortions of Magazine, orchestrated and dark elements of Vertigo and the loops and electronic noises found on Between the Dim and the Dark. Collaborators Josh Kaler(Heather Nova, Paris Monster, Matthew Perryman Jones) and Owen Biddle (John Legend, The Roots) produced the majority of the album in Nashville, TN with additional production from Jake Sinclair (Weezer, Sia, Panic at the Disco) in LA, and hometown wunderkind Wolfgang Zimmerman (Susto, Band of Horses) in Charleston, SC.

In addition to Sparrow, Jump, Little Children has also announced a multi-city tour throughout the Southeast, Northeast, and Midwest this Fall. Tickets are on-sale now viawww.jumplittlechildren.com.
