Leading British singer-songwriter Jorja Smith will entertain guests at the 2019 Laureus World Sports Awards in Monaco on February 18.
The 21-year-old Award-winning star released her debut single Blue Lights in 2016 and quickly found success, going on to release a second single and a four-track debut EP, Project 11 later that year. Jorja won the Critics' Choice Award at the 2018 Brit Awards following her solo hits Beautiful Little Fools, Teenage Fantasy and Where Did I Go?.
In June 2018, Jorja released her debut studio album Lost & Found to critical and popular acclaim, reaching number one in the UK R&B chart. Her debut album earnt her a nomination for the 2018 Mercury Prize and she concluded the year winning GQ's prestigious 'Breakthrough Solo Artist of The Year' award.
Jorja's talent is now being recognised globally, with multiple awards nominations, including Best New Artist at the GRAMMY Awards, along with Best British Female, Album of the Year and Breakthrough Artist at the BRIT Awards 2019. Since bursting on to the scene, Jorja has worked with some of the biggest names in music, including Drake, Bruno Mars, Stormzy, Kendrick Lamar and Rag'n'Bone Man.
The Laureus World Sports Awards honours the greatest and most inspirational sports triumphs of 2018 and showcases the work of Laureus Sport for Good. In 2018, nearly 300,000 young people all over the world directly benefited from more than 160 Laureus Sport for Good supported projects in 40 countries, working to end violence, discrimination and disadvantage by using sport as the tool for change.
