Announced this evening at a special Woodstock press conference, JOHN FOGERTYwill join in the celebration for Woodstock 50, appearing at the legendary festival's anniversary event, 50 years after signing on as the FIRST artist at the original festival.

FOGERTY, Woodstock organizer Michael Lang and rap artist, Common, all joined together this evening at Electric Lady Studios in NYC to announce the final confirmed line-up for this year's return engagement. After a brief Q&A with reporters, FOGERTY performed a few of his iconic songs, all released in 1969; "Have You Ever Seen The Rain," "Who'll Stop the Rain," "Bad Moon Rising," "Fortunate Son" and "Proud Mary."

Prior to the August 16 performance at Woodstock, FOGERTY will return to the Encore Theatre at the Wynn in Las Vegas - bringing his all-new show, "My 50 Year Trip," a milestone celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Woodstock and John's iconic hit parade with Creedence Clearwater Revival. The all-new show will feature a collection of CCR songs, including the set list from John's performance at Woodstock in 1969 as well as other fan favorites.

"50 years since Woodstock. I can't believe it.
Starting in April at the Wynn I will be bringing my songbook, my guitar and my memories of that special time... and then on the road to a festival called "Woodstock" where I stood 50 years ago...And I ain't slowing down.
Can't wait to get up there and celebrate this 50th anniversary of my songs.
Peace love and Rock and Roll! There is Nothin' better than that." - John Fogerty

In addition, FOGERTY will also be performing at several major summer festivals including the 50thAnniversary Jazz Fest in New Orleans, Bourbon & Beyond Festival in Louisville among others. He will also head to Europe for summer tour hitting Poland, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, The Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. Additional U.S. dates will be announced shortly.

50 years ago, in 1969, FOGERTY wrote, recorded and released three amazing albums in one year with Creedence Clearwater Revival. First, in January of '69, just a short time after completing his military service, the album Bayou Country was released. The iconic"Proud Mary," a reflective song he penned as soon as he was discharged, rose to #2 on the singles chart. The same album also carried us all into the Louisiana backcountry with "Born on the Bayou". By August, with the release of Green River, two of his biggest tracks, "Green River" and "Bad Moon Rising" both spiked the U.S. chart at #2. As if any artist being responsible for two of his group's greatest albums in a single year isn't amazing enough, FOGERTY led CCR to another album debut in November of '69. Willy and the Poor Boys, and its single "Down on the Corner" brought a happy, toe-tappin' track to their fans and it reached #3 on the charts. Probably the most famous of FOGERTY's songs is, of course, "Fortunate Son" a protest song/anti-war anthem that became the mantra for a generation suspicious of those elites who blindly supported the use of military force, as many had seen in the Johnson administration and their supporters.
