Highlights:

They discussed the origin of the album title Integrity Blues. Lead singer and guitarist Jim Adkins explained that on the album there are many themes explored, but the song Integrity Blues hits on many of those themes at once. He stated that the best that you have at any given point is that you're always in a state of progress, and sometimes what you want bumps into the reality of that and as a result you run into conflict or adversity-Trying to do the right thing can feel like lonely work sometimes.

Host Harms asked guitarist and backing vocalist Tom Linton about the year off that the band took. Tom noted that while he was still playing music around the house, he also picked up boxing. He said it was important for the band to take that time off because they had been in a cycle of going out on tour for a year and a half after completing a record, and then going straight into the studio to start recording again-It was good to get away from it all for a bit.

When starting the album, Adkins had mentioned he wanted to shake things up. On this record, they opened up to friends early on for input which they had never done before.

When asked how the band has stuck together for so long, Adkins said that they had been childhood friends beforehand which helped, but also they try to make all of their working decisions from a perspective of keeping it fun. They take it seriously and what they create is important to them, but if you're in a rock band and it's not fun, you shouldn't be doing it.

Harms asked if Taylor Swift lip-syncing to The Middle has made Adkins popular with his nieces and nephews. He joked that yes, he's gotten tons of cred from the 11 year olds on his block.

Drummer Zach Lind said that they've been so fortunate to travel to so many places, and he'd love to perform in Iceland. Their tour dates for this year include Australia, South America, Europe, and the United States.
