The Fridays by the Fountain concert today, June 28, will feature the band Jetta and the Jellybeans -- a rock n' roll extravaganza for kids and adults too! It's School House Rock meets The Bangles! The colorful and energetic band has been entertaining groups for over ten years with fun for the entire family. The free lunchtime concert will be held 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at the Jon R. Hunt Plaza in front of the Morris Performing Arts Center in downtown South Bend.

Fun children's activities are also planned for this concert. The South Bend Parks and Recreation Department will have a rock climbing wall set up. Potawatomi Zoo staff are bringing petting animals (weather permitting.) Everyone is welcome to bring cameras to take photos with Swoop, the South Bend Silver Hawks mascot; RJ, The Salvation Army Kroc Center mascot; and the Chick-fil-A Cow who will all be making appearances. Kids from 1 to 101 will enjoy this concert and special activities!

A variety of lunchtime favorites including pizza, hotdogs, sandwiches, and salads will be available to purchase from The Morris Bistro Restaurant, Papa John's, Pizza, and Skinny's Hotdogs. Tables will be set up around the plaza to enjoy the concerts. People are also welcome to bring lunch, chairs, or blankets and relax on the lawn.

Concert presenters The Morris Performing Arts Center, Sunny 101.5, 16 WNDU, and sponsor Memorial Regional Cancer Center invite everyone to come enjoy the free outdoor concert in downtown South Bend at the beautifully fountain. More concert information is available at www.MorrisCenter.org.
