Jeremy Jones Shares First Single INTENTION Image

Jeremy Jones has been getting around. The LA multi-instrumentalist was just featured as a member of ScHoolboy Q's orchestra in his Travis Scott collaboration, "CHopstix", and was scheduled to play viola with Khalid's at Coachella until production issues cut down the live band.

He's also been making some moves himself, honing his woozy, left-field R&B in preparation for his first mixtape. Yesterday we teamed up with Kevin at Buzzbands to share Intention, the final single off the collection, and one that highlights Jones impressive skill as a producer and engineer, not to mention his star-in-the-making vocal performance. He's got the DIY work ethic of artists like Tyler, the Creator, and the melodic sensibilities of Sampha, or Anderson Paak. But don't let us get carried away, listen to the track and see for yourself.

LISTEN TO INTENTION HERE

Indiana-bred, LA-based artist and producer Jeremy Jones grew up in a deeply musical community, but one that sounded very different than the radio-ready American R&B of his debut mixtape Late Bloomer. In Jeremy's mother's house mainstream music was forbidden; the devout, Jamaican family instead listened to gospel music and sang in church. Jeremy found his creative outlet in the orchestra, studying viola performance in college, before moving to Los Angeles with his indie rock band. It's been quite the journey.

In 2017 Jeremy delivered his debut solo single "Runnin'", building on the success of his standout features on the 2016 collaborative album FLANCH. The track immediately established him as an exciting new voice, carving out his place with a DIY work ethic rare in pop music.

Late Bloomer collects the best work from Jeremy's first two years as a solo artist and presents a perfect snapshot of his talent, his aspiration, and, more importantly, himself as an artist.

Late Bloomer is expected May 31st
