Breaking nearly a decade's worth of silence punctuated by life, loss and love, Jaymay returns with To Tell the Truth, premiering the highly anticipated sophomore album exclusively with Allmusic.
The NY-based singer/songwriter will celebrate with a special hometown release show at Berlin on Wednesday, August 31 at 8pm, unveiling the LP's 13 confessions, which longtime fans can experience for the first time.
Through acoustic guitar, piano, literary lyricism and vulnerable vocals, To Tell the Truth elegantly bookends the trials and tribulations of both Jaymay's personal struggle and the tragic passing of her developmentally disabled sister Cassie, at age 26. With the kickoff of her PledgeMusic campaign, Jaymay invited fans into every stage of this very personal project and is donating a portion of their support to The Center for Discovery where Cassie went to school.

In 2013, Jaymay abruptly ended up in the hospital with Crohn's Disease. During a time of isolation and healing, she took to painting, and gathered the best of each of every artistic medium she was absorbing to make To Tell the Truth as introspective as possible. Fans can purchase originals and limited edition prints as companion pieces to the album, arguably Jaymay's boldest release yet.
