Los Angeles-based Americountry troubadour Jason Hawk Harris is thrilled to announce signing with Bloodshot Records to release his debut full-length album coming in 2019. Harris, who enjoyed indelible success as a founding member and lead guitarist of indie folk outfit The Show Ponies, stepped into the spotlight with the November 2017 release of his debut solo EP Formaldehyde, Tobacco and Tulips, which was born from a season of grieving and showcased his formidable songwriting chops and fearless lyricism. Harris, a classically-trained composer, crafts songs derived from a unique blend of influences to create his own brand of electrified rockicana.

This summer, he released "I'm Afraid," a live performance video for a barn-burning track from his Formaldehyde, Tobacco and Tulips. The video, which was featured at The Boot and Rolling Stone Country, gives viewers an unforgettable taste of what to expect from a Jason Hawk Harris performance:

Since 1994, Bloodshot Records has championed the music that lurks between genres, the music nestled in the dark, nebulous cracks where punk, country, soul, pop, bluegrass, blues and rock n' roll mix and mingle and mutate. Jason joins an impressive roster that includes Sarah Shook & The Disarmers, Laura Jane Grace & The Devouring Mothers, Robbie Fulks, Cory Branan, and Ruby Boots. Stay tuned for more to come!
