Grammy Award-nominated singer-songwriter, performer, producer, actress and activist Janelle Monáe will perform her anthemic new single "Make Me Feel" from her critically acclaimed third solo album project, "Dirty Computer," during the Tuesday May 1 (8-9 p.m. ET/PT) live telecast of NBC's four-time Emmy Award-winning musical competition series "The Voice."
"Make Me Feel" captures the spirited, celebratory voice of Monáe as she affectionately nods to the ripe sounds surrounding the 1980's music and dance revolution. Delivering electric vocals, pop hooks and confident, female-driven lyrics, Monáe brings the song to life in a vibrantly colored video highlighted by provocative silhouettes. "Dirty Computer" is currently available at music retailers everywhere.
Monáe embarked on her film acting career in 2016 with stellar performances in two milestone films, "Hidden Figures" and "Moonlight." Both films received Academy Award nominations for Best Picture, with the latter winning the night's most prestigious award.
Tonight, Monday, April 30 (8-10 p.m.), "Fan Pick" week begins with the 11 remaining artists - Sharane Calister, Rayshun LaMarr and Jackie Verna from Team Adam; Britton Buchanan, Christiana Danielle and Jackie Foster from Team Alicia; Pryor Baird, Spensha Baker and Kyla Jade from Team Blake; and Brynn Cartelli and Kaleb Lee from Team Kelly - performing a song selected by fans, which have been submitted through Xfinity's Suggest-A-Song feature in The Voice Official App.
The Monday and Tuesday editions of "The Voice" are the #1 and #2 alternative series of the 2017-18 season to date in both adults 18-49 and total viewers, and have combined to average a 2.6 rating in adults 18-49 and 12.3 million viewers overall in "live plus seven day" ratings from Nielsen Media Research. The current spring cycle opened on Feb. 26 with the show's highest results in the past 12 months in both 18-49 (a 3.5 rating in L+7) and total viewers (14.8 million).
