UK DJ and producer James Hype has stormed the charts recently with his smash hit single 'More Than Friends' ft. Kelli-Leigh, out now via One More Tune / Warner Music. To date, the track has received playlist support from BBC Radio 1 and Capital FM, and so far tops out at no.3 on the iTunes chart and no.1 on Shazam. Today he drops the much-awaited remix package, featuring Glasgow duo Illyus & Barrientos and Dutch star, Mason.

James cut his teeth on the UK club circuit, cultivating a virtuosic DJ ability that has seen him form a close partnership with Pioneer. Using DJ City to promote his innovative bootleg remixes, covering the likes of Drake and The Weeknd, James grabbed the attention of several major labels. With official remixes for some of the biggest tracks of the past few years, like Clean Bandit's 'Symphony' and Sage the Gemini's 'Now Or Never', James verified his master talent and passion for all things Urban and R&B.

Reimagining En Vogue's hugely popular 'Don't Let Go' was no mean feat, though by enlisting the help of friend and singer Kelli-Leigh meant James was able to give the track a new vitality, fragmenting and rebuilding the melody, and bringing it up to a smooth 123 BPM.

llyus & Barrientos offer two world-class cuts: one utilises the tech-house soundscape, while the other goes in a dub direction, but both showcase the duo's characteristic dark, underground sound. Still within range of house but distinctly less dark, Mason's counter-offer balances out the remix package perfectly, presenting an innovative, nuanced interpretation of an R&B classic.
