Jacob Whitesides - whose independent spirit and approach to his musical career has captured the attention of critics and industry tastemakers as well as millions of fans around the world - released his eagerly anticipated new single, "Lovesick," this spring via all participating digital retailers. The single is the first to be released from the 18-year-old's full-length debut album, which is due in late summer.

HERE. The clip features Jacob starring alongside other young social media talent Wellington Boyce, Alex Aiono, Andrea Russett, and features a brief cameo from Grammy-winner
Michael Bolton (whose youtube-bombing presence has exploded since the success of his Andy Samberg led Lonely Island clip).
Jacob's forthcoming album is the follow-up to the soulful singer's two chart-topping EPs A Piece of Me and Faces On Film (both which stood for days at #1 on iTunes Singer/Songwriter chart in 2015). A Piece of Me produced the unintentional hit "Not My Type At All." The track became the No. 1 most requested on Radio Disney and received heavy rotation on Sirius XM's "Coffee House" alongside such heavyweights as Coldplay, Paul Simon, and Ray LaMontagne. Additionally, Jacob enters his debut album campaign as the only artist to be chosen as MTV's "Artist to Watch," Radio Disney's "Next Big Thing," Pandora's "Artist to Watch," and Spotify's "Artist to Watch" for 2016, all concurrently.
As his own CEO (Double U Records, partnered with BMG), Jacob has built an artist identity and brand independently. His impressive social media numbers continue to grow organically (2.3 million Twitter followers, 1.6 million Facebook likes, 1.4 million Instagram followers, 892K Vine followers, and 371K YouTube subscribers with over 15 million views) and his international fan base spans beyond North America to Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and South America. Jacob's first ever European tour sold out all dates, with London and Paris selling out in only eight minutes.
