Darius Brubeck Quartet, son of legendary jazz musician Dave Brubeck, will tour around Israel and perform compositions he composed as well as material composed by his father

Darius Brubeck Quartet was created in 2006 and is known for its acoustic, melodic, spontaneous and rhythmic sound and plays to sold-out houses at regional festivals and clubs around the world.
Darius Brubeck, son of Dave Brubeck - a composer and professor who researches jazz music. In 1983 he initiated the first degree course in Jazz Studies offered by an African university in South Africa. Later on he taught at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) in Durban, South Africa, and was appointed Director of the Centre for Jazz and Popular Music.
Dave O'Higgins, the quartet's saxophonist, is also a composer, music arranger and teacher, as well as Best Tenor Sax award winner at the British Jazz Awards. He performed with jazz legends Ray Charles, Frank Sinatra, Peter Gabriel and with the Pet Shop Boys.
