Jess Meuse calls Alabama home, but if she had her choice, she would spend her days and nights on the road. Ever since competing in the 13th season of AMERICAN IDOL, Jess, has been able to enjoy sharing her passion for music with audiences all over the United States as she travels with other contestants from the season. Music is something that Jess always knew she wanted to do from the time she was a young girl. She sang whenever she could and loved to share her talent with an audience.

As a young girl, her family moved a lot. It was always hard for Jess to find her place in a new town, and music was always her constant. In a recent interview Jess, she shared with me her passion for music. She told me that in order for her to cope with the move to Alabama; she became involved with her high school orchestra where she played the violin. That talent helped her also learn to play the piano and subsequently the guitar. As she shared her experiences, you could tell that she was dedicated to making her music mean something to many people and she hoped to touch lives as she shared her songs messages. Some of Jess's songs are very personal and she was brave enough to try some of them out during her performances on AMERICAN IDOL.

Every night she performed on AMERICAN IDOL, Jess tried to listen closely to the judges and take to heart the advice they were giving her. Even though it was incredibly nerve wracking to perform each week, Jess knew that they were only trying to help her improve and be the best she could be as a performer.

When asked if she had any advice for anyone who would consider auditioning for AMERICAN IDOL, Jess said that performers should be true to themselves and be able to know what the judges are telling you is to help you improve your skills. Being on American Idol is not easy to do, but you can learn and grow so much as a performer even if you do not win first place.

When she finishes the tour with AMERICAN IDOL, Jess hopes to be able to continue to tour herself more and continue to create great music for her fans. She hopes to record her music and keep living her dream.

The American Idol tour comes to The Majestic Theatre in San Antonio, Texas on July 28, 2014. For tickets, check out their website www.majesticempire.com and purchase tickets.
