Emerging indie rockers Szabo (www.szaboband.com) are gearing up for the official release of their debut EP, Get Wasted, and celebrating with a show at Phoenix hotspot The Rogue Bar tonight, June 23, 2013 at 8 p.m. Mike Mlinko and Jon Scott will kick off the show before a 45-minute set at 10:30 p.m. from Szabo followed by Moses.

Led by charismatic front man Elliot Szabo, the four-piece act has emerged as a powerhouse live band rooted in Sin City in recent years. Their high-octane, raw indie sound is emerging at a time when '90s rock resurgence is on an upswing, regaining an important foothold in the alternative music market.

The band made appearances this week on FOX's More Access and ABC's Morning Blend in Las Vegas to promote their album release show on June 8 at the artsy local hotspot Artifice Bar & Lounge.

The highly-anticipated debut EP Get Wasted, which officially drops June 11, 2013, is a fiery mix of distorted guitars reminiscent of '90s alt-rock and keyboard and electronic textures synonymous with classic new wave. The creative seeds of the recording were planted months before when Elliot took up a wild challenge to enter songs in a contest sponsored by an indie magazine and subsequently, over the course of the next two weeks, wrote 12 songs while holed up in a local studio.

Szabo's founding core includes Elliot, bassist Gary Coveney and drummer Austin Perry with the recent addition of keyboardist Andy Vieluf. Get Wasted as recorded and mixed at Battle Born Studios, owned by Vegas-based superstars The Killers.
