Australian indie quartet Kingswood return with a raucous new single, "Messed It Up," which premiered via Triple J following the news of their upcoming US showcases. The Melbourne-based band's new single - the first from their upcoming third album - centers around the story of a relationship fracturing following a series of avoidable mistakes that seemed necessary at the time and where to go when it seems as though there's no way back. A visceral combination of sinewy synth-soul compulsion with a restless rock undertow, "Messed It Up" presages another stunning act of evolution from a band who effectively weave thunderous serpentine space-rock and smoldering falsetto R&B.

Kingswood have been recording with Nashville producer Eddie Spear (U2, Lady Gaga, Brandi Carlisle), who acted in a complimentary collaborative role while helping the band tap into their democratic, relentlessly expanding visions for the future of alternative music. Kingswood will wrap up 2018 with their upcoming show at Los Angeles' Viper room and anticipated debut appearance at Mondo.NYC, followed by extensive touring through the US and Europe.
Their 2017 album, After Hours, Close To Dawn, was named in Rolling Stone Australia's 50 Most Anticipated Albums of 2017, and Kingswood's music has been featured in major US TV shows including Netflix drama Bloodline and Showtime's hit series Shameless. Kingswood have toured heavily throughout the world, including joining rock icons AC/DC's Australian stadium tour as their opening act in 2015. Kingswood have also performed heavyweights Queens of the Stone Age, LCD Soundsystem, and HAIM at Byrons Splendour In The Grass Festival to go with a 16 date Australian headline tour.
