Berlin-based, Australian brothers Tennyson and Holden Nobel, aka Imbibe, has premiered their sophomore single, "Touchdown" today via the NME, prior to its release this Friday, November 9 - share via Soundcloud. The follow up to their September debut "Mirage", which the NME hailed as "this year's best existential jam", Imbibe burst on to the scene, and kick off their first ever UK dates supporting Parcels tonight (dates below).
"Touchdown" is yet another glistening pop gem, penned by the duo when they first moved to Europe earlier this year, and recorded in the UK with Grammy nominated producer Will Hicks. "Touchdown" flits between indie chic and the laconic French cool of the 90's.
Discussing "Touchdown", vocalist Tennyson, stated, "It's a song all about human connection and being present in the moment, not be swept away by all the other stuff the world asks of us".
Born and raised in the hippy communes of Byron Bay, the duo packed their bags for the creative suburbs of Berlin where they've honed their off-centre pop sounds, which has turned heads in Australia, across Europe, and now with "Touchdown", have their eyes set on North America.
