About Imam Baildi:

Question: What do you get when you blend two brothers, a seducing female vocalist, a crowd engaging MC and three virtuosi on the bouzouki (a Greek instrument reminiscent of a mandolin), saxophone and electronic guitar, that have succeeded in getting audiences all around the world to their feet?

Answer: Imam Baildi, a band emanating an urban blend of traditional Greek Music with modern orchestration, production and remixing techniques.

Hailing from Athens, Greece and featuring brothers/founders Lysandros and Orestis Falireas, Imam Baildi (also the name of a very popular Southeast Mediterranean dish consisting of aubergine stuffed with onion, garlic, and tomatoes simmered in olive oil) have released their third full-length album Imam Baildi III via The End Records/ADA.

With their first two albums [Imam Baildi (2007), The Imam Baildi Cookbook (2010)], the group spawned the first alternative urban Greek musical projects to mark their way in Europe with two top positions in the European World Music Charts.

Imam Baildi III, is a bold crossover ranging from the nostalgic single "Simioma", the Morricone-inspired "The Rider", to the cha-cha meets mariachi flavor of "Argosvinis Moni", and the climactic shake - your - booty effect of "Baila Cifteteli".
