Illuminertia has announced the release of their new album, "Activation Station". Illuminertia is an umbrella for music releases and audio visual collaborations created by Eric "Modean" Mantras (DJ Mantras), who has been a resident DJ for Ecstatic Dance events in the Bay Area, CA. For two years, he performed at the monthly Zodiac events held at Guava in Emeryville, CA. The musical genre encompasses global bass music layered with soothing, hypnotic melodies. Illuminertia merges multiple musical genres, some tribal and rooted in festival culture and healing sensibility, and some that includes Hip-Hop and rap overtones. These influences can be heard in the new 15-track album, which feature collaborations with Cliff Tishman (aka Emani), French horn player Marc Gelfo, Fllow, and audio by Terence McKenna.

DJ Mantras is also working on an array of upcoming projects, including: filming and animating the Alive and Awake music video entitled I Love Nature by Aaron Ableman. It's a movement out of the East Bay designed to inspire the youth and adults to understand the importance of living in harmony with the nature around us. An extension of the project is a broadcast television series coming out in early 2018, teaching the youth about the importance of preservation and sustainability. Another upcoming project is the "Sound of Tao," a meditation album for the healing arts produced by Illuminertia & Emani, which has already met with high acclaim by the Taoist Temple in Oakland, CA. Illuminertia is also currently booking for the Activation Station tour coming up this spring, which will feature live musicians, dancers, and other audio visual elements.
