Iglooghost to Release Dual EP's August 8 + Announce International Tour Dates

On August 8th, 2018, Iglooghost will release Clear Tamei and Steel Mogu - the back-to-back follow ups to his acclaimed 2017 full-length debut Ne? Wax Bloom. Although paired in format, the dual EPs draw from different corners of Igloo's influences. Steel Mogu is a hyperspeed collage of synthetic, trance-influenced synths contorting around violent, mutating 808s - whilst Clear Tamei channels lavish string quartets and melancholic, fictional classical instruments.

The double features are set in Mamu, 3000 years prior to the events of Ne? Wax Bloom. We are introduced to a young, see-through, god-in-training named Tamei. Although gifted, he and his little cohorts resent their fate of becoming Grid Göds - and find themselves wound up in a hyperspeed, cross-temporal battle with a fleet of mysterious, round beings.

As ever, the releases are paired with original artwork by Iglooghost and multimedia storyline material that feed into Iglooghost's ever-expanding narrative, giving fans their first glimpse into the primordial era of the Mamu dimension, millennia before we were introduced to the time-traveling gelatinous worm-shaped creature Xjangliao (Chinese Nü Year) and the devastation that ensued after two giant eyeballs came crashing down on Mamu (Ne? Wax Bloom).

In the few short years since releasing his debut EP on Brainfeeder at just 18 years old in 2015, British artist, designer and musician Iglooghost, real name Seamus Malliagh, has quickly established himself as one of the most innovative electronic producers of the generation with his unique an outlandish blend of footwork, IDM, hip hop, bass, two-step and more within the bizarre cartoon-ish universe in which his stories unfold.
