Las Vegas headliners and Australia's most successful male vocal group Human Nature has released its first ever Christmas album both in the Asian Pacific and the North American territories. Human Nature's longstanding relationship with Sony Music Australia continues as the 14-song "Human Nature - The Christmas Album" CD and digital release is distributed on the Sony Music Australia label throughout Australia and Southeast Asia. Universal Music Enterprises released Human Nature's 7-song digital EP "Dreaming of a White Christmas" to the rest of the world. The critically acclaimed album has achieved platinum status following its November 8 release in Australia and is currently #4 on the Australian ARIA charts.
Featuring recorded versions of seasonal classics such as "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)", "Santa Claus is Coming to Town", "White Christmas", "Winter Wonderland" and "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" among others, this special Yuletide release will add a little bit of Human Nature Motown to this year's Christmas celebrations.
"This is really one of the most special records we have made and we feel it is one of our best," said Human Nature's Phil Burton. "It feels like a rite of passage to do a Christmas album and now we have ours, and it feels great!"
"The Christmas Album" sees Human Nature return to the studio with Grammy Award-winning producer Harvey Mason Jr. and his production partner Damon Thomas (aka The Underdogs) as well as some of the world's top musicians. The album brings to life the ultimate collection of the most popular Christmas songs together with a flair that stems from a high-energy Motown rhythm, making this album the ultimate feel-good Christmas release while still featuring some of the festive season's most poignant and classic tracks.
In addition to "Human Nature - The Christmas Album", Human Nature is also sharing the spirit of the holidays by releasing an animated stop-motion short titled "Dreaming of a White Christmas." This short film is an homage to the enduring production style of classic television holiday films while utilizing state-of-the-art production techniques. Director Martin Meunier assembled an Academy Award & Golden Globe nominated production team of 3D modelers, stop-motion & special effects animators from movies such as "Coraline" and "The Nightmare Before Christmas" to bring this film about overcoming adversity and discovering the holiday spirit to life. Human Nature is currently on a national Christmas tour in Australia and will return to their hugely successful live stage show at the Venetian in Las Vegas, Smokey Robinson Presents Human Nature: The Motown Show on Friday, December 27, 2013.
