Today, Houndmouth announce their new album, Golden Age, their first for Reprise Records, set for release on August 3. The album, co-produced byJonathan Rado and Shawn Everett, features ten new songs lyrically linked in concept and framed with adventurous production. Golden Age will be available for pre-order this Friday, June 15. Fans who pre-order the album will receive two instant downloads; "This Party," as well as another brand new album track, "Modern Love," heard for the first time in advance of street date.
Houndmouth launched the official video for "This Party," which was directed by Kristian Mercado. The video reflects an interpretation of the song's repeating desire to escape. In the not so distant future, the band members are cogs in the system, longing for an escape from their assembly line loop. One maverick has his eyes and mind opened just in time to rise up against their overlords and bring about a golden age.
