Home Body To Release Spiritus On 4/26, Share New Single COMET With Earmilk

Home Body will release their new album Spiritus on April 26 via via Feeding Tube Records and Peace & Rhythm (pre-order). Today the band shared the latest single, "Comet," from the upcoming release. The track premiered at Earmilk and can also be shared on Soundcloud. About the track Earmilk says, "Comprised of synthesist Eric Hnatow and vocalist Haley Morgan, 'Comet' is an immediate atmospheric playing field for the unknown. There's an obvious chemical reaction from the two on the track - which comes as no surprise considering the duo have been a couple for over thirteen years - that transmits the essential philosophy that we are more connected than we may realize."

The single follows up with the release of "DNA from Spiritus. The official video premiered at Audiofemme along with an exclusive interview with the band. About the video Audiofemme says, "Home Body's new music video for 'DNA' explores so-called traditional values and gender bias through the lens of the stereotypical heteronormative relationship. The backbeat feels like a date night groove, with Haley Morgan's voice treading softly overhead. Morgan and Eric Hnatow have been making music together in and around Western Massachusetts for over 13 years, and the cohesion is easy to hear; 'DNA' doesn't take a while to wind up, it moves confidently, with the maturity of shared experience."

Sweethearts for over thirteen years, Hnatow and Morgan have been making music as Home Body since 2011. The duo's chemistry and unique sound have garnered an enthusiastic fan base throughout New England and beyond. Drawing comparisons to The Knife, Bjork, Sylvan Esso, and early Eurythmics, Home Body has performed close to 400 shows across North America since their inception, supporting acts such as Dan Deacon, Boy Harsher, Marco Benevento, And The Kids, Guerilla Toss, Pumarosa, TEEN and Downtown Boys. In addition to releasing their debut full length In Real Life on Feeding Tube Records, and a follow-up EP Guts (2014), the duo has scored fashion shows and dance performances and has made music for films and commercials.
