Hollie Cook is a British born artist and daughter of Sex Pistol's Paul Cook and
Culture Club backing singer Jeni Cook. The promising young artist is bringing her lovers rock infused pop to North America this month in continued support of her highly acclaimed album "Twice".
Released earlier this year, her impressive 9-track record soon caught the attention of music fans in the U.S -- captured and intrigued by her unique twist of "tropical pop" -- folks soon beckoned the talented young artist to bring her sound stateside. Authentic reggae, infused with classic 70's soul, the "Sade by way of Kingston" (Boston Globe) has already successfully cemented her status as a principle figure in the UK reggae scene and has big plans for the U.S this fall.
Her current album "Twice" features an impressive array of legendary fixtures from the reggae scene, including esteemed Jamaican singer Winston Francis aka King Cool, gifted musician, vocalist, former member of
The Pioneers and brother of Desmond, George Dekker, UK soul legend Omar and legendary British reggae producer and musician of Matumbi, Dennis Bovell. "Twice" was produced by British producer Mike "Prince Fatty" Pelanconi (A Tribe Called Quest, Gregory Isaacs,
Brand New Heavies, Graham Coxon, Lily Allen, The Sugarhill Gang).
