Hershey Community Chorus to Perform Christmas Concert THE MAJESTY OF CHRISTMAS

The Hershey Community Chorus will present two performances of its Christmas Concert, "The Majesty of Christmas" in The First United Methodist Church of Hershey, 64 W. Chocolate Avenue. The first performance will be on Friday evening, December 4, 2015, at 7:00 pm with the second performance at 4:00 pm Sunday afternoon, December 6, 2015, also in The First United Methodist Church of Hershey. Guest musicians accompanying the Chorus will be Saint Paul's Brass Quintet of St. Paul Lutheran in Carlisle, Ellen Hunt, well known Harrisburg organist, and Tim Rupert, percussionist.

Some of the selections to be performed by the Chorus include Daniel Pinkham's "Christmas Cantata" and Randall Alan Bass' "Gloria", both accompanied by Brass, Organ and Percussion. Among the other selections are "Boar's Head Carol", "Chanticleer's Carol" and some familiar traditional Christmas songs including "Deck the Hall", "Home for the Holidays", "Toyland, Toyland", and other well known selections.

Admission to these concerts is $18.00 for adult, $9.00 for children ages 6 to 11 yrs of age, and free for children age 5 and under. Tickets are available now through any Chorus member, by calling 508-4400, or emailing the Chorus at info@HersheyCommunityChorus.org. Tickets will also be available at the door the days of the concerts.

The Hershey Community Chorus receives state arts funding support through a grant from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, a state agency funded by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
