In a world increasingly saturated with the ephemeral joys of simulated companionship, Her's is an authentic Mersey-side bromance between partners in crime Audun Laading and Stephen Fitzpatrick. Blossoming from a chance encounter in a university canteen, and from as far afield as Norway and Barrow, the duo found a natural chemistry through their encyclopedic love of off-kilter humor and art.

New single "Love On The Line (Call Now)," available here or via The FADER, is a change in direction for the pair, who despite the frequent comparisons to certain slacker contemporaries, have so far channeled their unique personalities into styles as far afield as surf rock, jangle pop, psych rock, and, yes, a Minnie Riperton cover. "Love On The Line (Call Now)" sees the pair ushering in the spring with a soft rock love song that recalls the off-kilter Hall & Oates style balladry or Ariel Pink with the unpredictable chord changes found in any of Mac Demarco's big hitters.

It's the first single from their upcoming album due in the summer. Following on from last year's 9 track compilation Songs Of Her's, it promises to be the most significant step in the duo's journey yet. Her's has been met with a glowing reception from The Guardian, NME, The Line of Best Fit, and Stereogum, and it's conquered a respectable chunk of the global circuit already through shows at Visions, Green Man, The Great Escape, SXSW, and Bangkok.

Her's are the key players in a Liverpool scene that's rapidly finding its identity through humor and imagination. Like their local friends Trudy and the Romance and Pink Kink, they're not beholden to any one style, era or perspective of pop culture. They borrow and assimilate ideas across the many decades and seven seas to make a veritable witch's brew of intoxicating outsider pop. After putting Liverpool firmly on the map as the spiritual home of exciting and free-thinking independent music right now, its debut LP will undoubtedly broaden horizons even further.
