Happy Colors is back with his signature touch to represent the authentic rural Dominican sound mixed with a true urban feel. Hector Mendoza aka Happy Colors, joins forces with Latin GRAMMY Best New Artist winner, Vicente Garcia in his newest single release, "San Francisco De Macoris." Both respective artists have concocted a true taste for the melodies and grooves of the Dominican Republic but also deliver low end frequencies of the streets. The single drops today and is available on all digital streaming platforms and retailers.
Happy Colors, a proud Dominican by way of South Florida, is known for his unique take on Merengue, Bachata, and Dance music as well as his hilarious personality. Happy's first taste of the limelight was in 2014 when he came out with "Tiripa" featuring JSTJR, a track put out on Diplo's Mad Decent imprint. With plenty of releases under his belt since, Happy Colors has worked with numerous artists from all genres of music, such as DJ/producers, Skrillex, Major Lazer, and Dillon Francis, Merengue singer Magic Juan, and alternative band Bomba Estéreo. When he is not coming up with outrageous track names like "Mamaguevo" and "El Papel Que Te Limpia El Culo," he is playing your favorite festivals and club venues such as Insomniac's EDC and Encore's XS Nightclub.
With this latest single, "San Francisco De Macoris," Happy Colors teams up with fellow Dominican singer/songwriter, Vicente Garcia, who last year took home the Latin GRAMMY for Best New Artist. Garcia's classic edgy style, rolled in with Happy Color's upbeat tempo, gives you a feel good groove for anyone's taste. In conjunction with the release of the single, the artists also dropped the song's official lyric video which gives us a little taste of their humor and culture through the fun of animation.
