HOOBASTANK Expands U.S. Headlining Tour Image

Multi-platinum band HOOBASTANK will extend their recently announced cross-country headlining tour with additional dates through December. "The Reason Tour"--in celebration of the 15th anniversary of the release of their landmark second album of the same name--will see the band perform the pivotal album in its entirety alongside fan favorites and new songs off theirrecently released sixth studio album PUSH PULL, available now via Napalm Records.

The trek will kick off October 25 in Portland, OR and hit 32 major cities across the U.S. (*see full list of dates below). Renowned singer-songwriter Secondhand Serenade (aka John Vesely)--who is celebrating the 10 year anniversary of his platinum debut Awake: Remixed & Remastered, 10 Years & 10,000 Tears Later--is slated to open on the majority of the cross-country trek. They'll also be joined by Audiovent beginning November 30 for the final shows along the tour route. Audiovent?! Back from the dead?! Live?! And older?! You heard right, friendo. After a refreshing 14-year nap, Los Angeles natives Jason Boyd, Ben Einziger, and Paul Fried have decided to re-join forces for a batch of reunion shows with their good friends in Hoobastank. Before the band's fantastic implosion during the making of their second album, they were together for 12 years, putting out Dirty Sexy Knights In Paris on Atlantic Records. Audiovent had a #8 Billboard hit with the song "The Energy," and toured extensively in the U.S. and Europe. Audiovent also appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and MTV's Live from The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Come and experience their long awaited reunion.

2018 marks the 15th anniversary of The Reason, which was produced by Howard Benson. The title track became a worldwide hit: #2 Billboard Hot 100, #1 U.S. and World Modern Rock charts (#10 Australia, #12 UK, #15 Germany), following the first single "Out of Control" (#9 Modern Rock, #16 Mainstream Rock). The album reached #3 on the Billboard Top 200 album chart and set a record in Canada, with 21 weeks at #1.

For the new album PUSH PULL, the 3x GRAMMY-nominated group--DOUG ROBB (lead vocals/rhythm guitar), DAN ESTRIN (lead guitar/keyboards), CHRIS HESSE (drums/percussion/backing vocals) and JESSE CHARLAND (bass/keyboards/backing vocals)--partnered with producer Matt Wallace (Faith No More, Deftones, Maroon 5, Andy Grammer) and explored both rock and pop songwriting with a renewed vigor. The 11-song collection features the first single "More Beautiful," the title track "Push Pull" and a brand-new cover version of Tears for Fears' classic 80's pop hit "Head Over Heels." HOOBASTANK's first new album in six years, PUSH PULL delivers the large-scale, muscular, alternative rock sound the band is known for while re-establishing their presence in the current pop-rock spectrum. "Don't Look Away," the album opener sets the tone for PUSH PULL and displays the band's growth over the years while staying true to their roots. Additional album highlights on PUSH PULL include "True Believer" and "Buzzkill (Before You Say Goodbye)" which show the band maturing from adolescent to adult relationships and examining the difficulty of keeping alive what fuels them. "We Don't Need the World" and "There Will Never Be Another" explore the memories which bind two people together. Additionally, DOUG's lyrics to the headphones-worthy "Fallen Star" were inspired by a memory of watching a military family of a soldier who died in combat, while the go-for-broke "Just Let Go (Who Cares If We Fall)" sums up HOOBASTANK's current attitude.
