Guster will return to Portland, Maine August 9-11, 2019 for the band's third annual On The Ocean Weekend.
With three days of activities, On the Ocean Weekend celebrates Guster and the band's fans, highlighted by a day-long festival at Thompson's Point on Saturday August 10th. The concert will feature two sets from the band, including a live performance of the full album Lost And Gone Forever, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the album's release.
Guster will be joined at Thompson's Point by Rubblebucket, Kat Wright, Tall Heights and Portland's Weakened Friends. The festival will also include Joe's Place, a second stage featuring performances from former band member Joe Pisapia as well as Spicy V's Hot Sauce Contest, presented in partnership with Vermont's Butterfly Bakery. In addition, there will also be a lobster bake, food trucks, family games and much more.
Saturday night's festivities will be capped off with an afterparty at Portland's Halo at the Point, featuring the EDM supergroup PIPPI, who will be making their first ever public appearance.
On the Ocean Weekend kicks off on Friday August 9th with an intimate acoustic performance from Guster at Portland's First Parish at 425 Congress Street in downtown Portland. A host of fan-friendly activities are scheduled for Sunday, August 11th, including a Reverb service project, an island bike ride, and a special Moth-style storytellers' event featuring Guster drummer Brian Rosenworcel.
Following on the success of 2018's Big Friendly Pale Ale, Guster will be teaming up once again with Maine-based brewery Mast Landing for a limited edition On The Ocean beer. The custom brew will launch on Friday August 9th and be available throughout Portland all weekend.
