Today Grooveshark emphasizes their mission to empower artists and music creators by signing on with music distributor ONErpm to become a part of their Leave No Artist Behind campaign.
In an effort to break barriers for musicians, the Leave No Artist Behind campaign combines the listener and user base of YouTube, Rdio, and now Grooveshark, and invites artists to have their music distributed amongst these online streaming services.
"We're thrilled to be working with Grooveshark on our Leave No Artist Behind initiative," said Emmanuel Zunz, ONErpm's CEO and Co-Founder. Now, more independent artists can expand their reach globally to Grooveshark's massive fan base, while getting paid for every play."
ONErpm will forfeit the usual upfront fee to dsitribut music for artists that would like to host their music on Grooveshark, YouTube and Rdio. In addition to fomratting and delivering artists' content, ONErpm will also handle all accounting of royalties.
