Epic and at the same time intimate, accessible and yet refined, simple and yet complex, auto-biographical and at the same time universal, the album is a meditation on Love, the existential questions in each of us, and the beauty of being human. It's a journey through musical landscapes and styles, from Bossa Nova to Rock, Funk to Xote, Chanson to Pop, counting among its main influences the poetry of Chico Buarque and Jorge Drexler, the melody of Tom Jobim, the delivery of Caetano Veloso, and the subversiveness of Lenine, Tom Zé, and Radiohead.
The album features a 24-piece string orchestra recorded live at
Capitol Studios, guest performances by singers Debi Nova and Lucy Woodward, percussionists Gilmar Gomes, Mauro Refosco, António Carmona and Ze Luis Nascimento, flautist Jorge Continentino, saxophonist Larry Williams, accordion player Rob Curto, and keyboardist Renato Neto.
