In the current world of television and radio that caters to younger generations, an entire era of music from boomer and Gen-X classic artists has been ignored...not been heard nor exposed nor even available to listeners and fans...which is why five time Grammy Award winning DIONNE WARWICK and her peers have inspired the BOOMERoom® Music Network (www.BOOMERoom.com) to create and launch the first " NEWdies® " Radio Station, a place where generations of music listeners and fans around the world can hear their favorite classic artists and their new songs, distinct from their oldies.
Warwick, who has agreed to be the network's first Ambassador to the Classic Artist Community, stated, "A destination, such as this, is long overdue! My music peers and colleagues are looking forward to BIG things with this venture and I hope to recruit many other classic artists to join us!"
Grammy-winning classic artists such as Warwick, Stevie Nicks, Journey, The Rolling Stones, Bryan Adams, Petula Clark, Bobby Rydell, Stevie Wonder, Glen Campbell, Phil Collins, Dion, Blondie, Tina Turner, Neil Diamond, Dolly Parton, Aerosmith, Lionel Richie, Cher, Anne Murray, Bon Jovi, Paul McCartney, Tom Jones, Reba McIntire, Kenny Rogers, Olivia Newton-John, Ringo Starr, Donna Summer, Elton John, Aretha Franklin, Cyndi Lauper, ELO, Brian Wilson, U2, New Kids on the Block, Shania Twain, and yes, even Michael Jackson are part of the historical catalog of over 25,000 artists and 10 million songs the " NEWdies® " Radio
Station has in store for fans and listeners who log on.
According to Alan B. Scharf, creator and founder of " NEWdies® Radio " and the BOOMERoom® Music Network, "Great melodies, great lyrics and great talent make for great music, regardless of age. And classic artists still know how to make great music!"
He added, "These classic artists who ruled the American music scene from the 1950's to the 1990's, who have paid their dues over the years, and are world renowned, do not have a place to properly promote their music, and we finally created a home and a destination to do just that!"
The website's current beta release may be used on all desktops, laptops and tablets/pads; smart phone functionality is under development.
