Back in NYC after playing to a sold out crowd at Gramercy Theatre back in December, acclaimed New York City hard rock band Ghosts of Eden are back supporting another New York staple, PUi, at Highline Ballroom on Friday, March 18th. Ghosts of Eden is bringing a fresh new sound to the music scene and is ready to take it to the big stage yet again. This is also the first time they will be gracing the stage at Highline which has the band even more pumped than before. "We're really lucky to be playing such a great venue supporting PUi again. They and their fans have really embraced us this past year. We're especially excited because we're going back into the studio the week after the show. We get to test out some new material that willl be on the next record for a lot of people so the adrenaline and pressure are both sky high," said Tom Pino, lead vocalist and guitarist. PUi brings a tribal hard rock sound to a stage where you can always expect the least expected.

The Highline Ballroom is located at 431 West 16th Street (between 9th and 10th Ave.) in New York City. Tickets are $12.00 in advance and $15.00 at the door. Doors at 7pm, showtime 7:30 pm. This is an all ages show. To purchase tickets in advance , please go to http://www.ghostsofeden.com.

Ghosts of Eden: Formed in early 2008 after several years of playing in the New York and New Jersey alternative, hardcore, punk and metal scene, the self proclaimed "Velvet Grunge" band had a new shared focus: strong songwriting and never looking back. They wanted to stray from the trends that they were seeing in the music industry. Together they wanted to write songs that could stand the test of time. "We see no reason why you can't maintain your integrity while being marketable at the same time," says Pino. Inspired by some of their heroes like Pixies, Bad Religion, Smashing Pumpkins, Soundgarden and Alice in Chains, GOE prides themselves on unforgettable guitar riffs, thought provoking lyrics and melodies that are meant for the masses.

With their Highline show, Ghosts of Eden will be finishing their touring of their debut EP "Ignorance and Lies," which was released in January, 2010. The album features fan favorites "Heartbreak Crutch" and "Eliot Ness" while, the song "Capsize" has become their signature sing-a-long at live shows.

"Have a listen to 'Ignorance and Lies' by Ghosts of Eden and judge for yourself. With one listen I'm sure you'll be just as blown away as I was. With two listens you won't be able to stop pushing the play button." - Tricia Weight, The Examiner

The record displays undeniably well crafted yet catchy songwriting that you don't have to feel guilty about liking. The bands' influences shine in a way that are tantamount to a grunge era rebirth. "Following the show, the band heads back into the studio to work on their currently untitled follow-up to 'Ignorance and Lies,' scheduled for a Summer 2011 release."We are working hard every day to make great music and get our name out there. We have a new record coming out in the summer too that we're expecting big things from. I'm excited to see all of our influences come to life like never before," says Benny Rose, drummer.
