Gettysburg Community Theatre is always searching for new ways to reach new audiences as well as entertain and educate local audiences. On Saturday, February 28th at 7pm, GCT will present two local favorites from Hanover, PA, songwriter's Jessi Adams and Brian Colgan who will perform their original songs with piano and guitar at a one night only special event benefitting GCT, a non-profit organization located at 49 York Street in downtown Gettysburg. Tickets are $18 reserved seating. Complimentary wine reception begins at 7pm with concert to follow.

Brian Colgan has been performing and writing songs in the local area since 1971. He's has been singing, producing, writing music and playing guitar, keyboards, flute and violin with bands such as the Sound Experiment, Summer Solstice, Pegasus, Spring Fever, Loose Change, Native Son, The Colgan Brothers Band, Irishtown Road and 6¢. In addition to his band work, Brian has also been playing solo, teaching music privately and with the Harrisburg Diocese.

Jessi Adams has been playing the piano and singing as long as she can remember. She grew up immersed in the arts, an Actors' Equity Association touring actress and accomplished nationally award-winning dancer by the age of 10. Music was not the center of Jessi's focus as she entered young adulthood, but it also has always been a part of daily life.

Jessi earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Biological Sciences from York College of Pennsylvania and began her family after high school, remaining a worship leader at church and musician. In late 2013, Jessi began writing original compositions, ranging in style from jazz to country to indie pop. She spent much of 2013 performing, connecting with people at shows and events, and continuing to sharpen her craft of songwriting. She is excited to be in production of her independent debut solo EP, which will be released in the Spring/Summer of 2015! She is grateful to God, our Savior, and her family and friends, who provide unwavering support and love and material for the next song Jessi is writing.

Songwriter's Showcase tickets are $18 reserved seating and can be ordered over the phone at (717)-334-2692 or online at www.GettysburgCommunityTheatre.org or by visiting the box office during box office hours Tuesdays-Fridays 4-7pm.
