Gel Set Announces Fall Tour With Profligate Begins This Friday

Today Gel Set announces a North American tour with Profligate which begins this Friday, October 5th in Los Angeles at Rec Center, before hitting up venues in Austin, Philadelphia, NYC, Chicago and more.

Gel Set is the solo project from multimedia artist Laura Callier. She returned last year with 'Body Copy' on 2MR. Gel Set is the art that Callier makes in her noisy Koreatown room with her music having been compared to Chris and Cosey. She is influenced by Karen Dalton's raw emotion, the abstract storytelling and dissonance of late Scott Walker, the synthesis of Mort Garson and Tangerine Dream and the heavy sounds of Hogg. All of these influences are apparent in last year's 'Body Copy' record on 2MR.
