Gregory Alan Isakov's new full-length album, Gregory Alan Isakov with the Colorado Symphony, is out today on Suitcase Town Music and currently #1 on iTunes Singer/ Songwriter chart (purchase here). A collaboration with the Colorado Symphony, the eleven-track record features songs from Isakov's previous albums, The Weatherman, This Empty Northern Hemisphere, and That Sea, the Gambler, as well as "Liars," which was written by Ron Scott.

Released to widespread acclaim, NPR Music recently premiered the official music video for "Liars," praising, "Stunning imagery and a symphony of sound make this Gregory Alan Isakov video an emotionally charged and poignant musical statement." The video can now be viewed/shared via YouTube. Additionally, a new interview with Isakov recently aired on NPR "Weekend Edition Sunday" (listen to the full conversation with host Rachel Martin here) and, as part of a recent profile, T Magazine premiered a new version of Isakov's beloved song "Big Black Car" and spoke with the acclaimed singer, songwriter and performer about his love of horticulture and his Colorado farm. Read the full story here.

In celebration of the release, Isakov is currently in the midst of an extensive orchestral tour, including performances with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, the Vermont Symphony Orchestra and the The Philadelphia Youth Orchestra, as well as a special date at D.C.'s The Kennedy Center with the National Symphony Orchestra on June 25. The remaining club shows, which include stops in Chicago, Boston, New York City, and Nashville, among others, will feature Isakov and his band-Jeb Bows (fiddle), Steve Varney (electric guitar/banjo), John Grigsby (upright bass), and Max Barcelow (drums)-along with The Ghost Orchestra from Colorado (a symphonic ensemble featuring brass and string players, that includes members of the Colorado Symphony). Additionally, Isakov will make his headline debut at Colorado's legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre on September 4 with very special guest Ani DiFranco. See below for complete tour details.

Recorded at Boettcher Concert Hall in Denver, as well as at Starling Farm in Boulder, Gregory Alan Isakov with the Colorado Symphony was co-produced by Isakov and his longtime collaborator, Jamie Mefford, and was arranged by Tom Hagerman (DeVotchKa) and Jay Clifford (Jump Little Children), and conducted by the Colorado Symphony's Scott O'Neil. Since his debut with the CSO in November 2013, Isakov has gone on to perform with them at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, as well as with the Seattle Symphony and the Oregon Symphony Orchestra.

The new album follows Isakov's highly acclaimed 2013 release, The Weatherman, which debuted at #1 on iTunes' Singer/Songwriter chart and received widespread acclaim including critical notice at NPR's Weekend Edition, NPR Music, Esquire, Rolling Stone, The Boston Globe, etc. Of the music, Denver Westword proclaimed, "Bob Dylan once sang, 'You don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows,' and you don't need to be a singer-songwriter to realize that Isakov has created something truly stunning here."
Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, and now calling Colorado home, Isakov is a lifelong traveler. Since his debut, Isakov has toured alongside musicians such as Iron & Wine, Ani DiFranco, Passenger, Josh Ritter, Brandi Carlile, and Nathaniel Rateliff. With a degree in horticulture, Isakov balances the art of making and performing his music with running a small farm in Colorado.
