Marking his debut on Dim Mak, Norwegian producer Funkin Matt communicates a mysterious, future house mood with his new single, "Flux." The track - a staple in his sets of late - narrates a sensory story, using modulated synths and distorted, robotic-sounding vocals against a chilling bassline so heavy it could reverberate through cinderblocks.

Active in the circuit since 2007 with club hits across Holland and his native Norway, it wasn't until Funkin Matt honed in on his (now signature) techy electro sound that he was able to craft such well received tracks as 2012's "I Wish," which landed at #26 on Beatport's Electro House chart. Following its release on Fool's Gold, Funkin Matt put out a trail of electro smashers on Mad Decent, Musical Freedom and Mixmash, and curated guest mixes for Diplo and Tiesto on BBC's Radio 1.

His remix of Mariah Carey's "You're Mine" with Gregor Salto has amassed over three million plays on SoundCloud and YouTube combined, a feat that's positioned Funkin Matt as a regular on Norway's largest music radio channels and increased his playtime worldwide. It's his evolving sound - one that lies somewhere between the deeper underground and the pulsing big room - that's garnered him the support of Diplo, A-Trak, Tiesto, Fatboy Slim, The Chemical Brothers, Don Diablo, and Steve Aoki.
