The full schedule for the KERRVILLE FALL MUSIC FESTIVAL held on Labor Day Weekend, August 29 - 31, 2014, is available at http://www.kerrvillefolkfestival.org. This celebration of songwriters and Texas wines and microbrews will be held at the Quiet Valley Ranch, 9 miles south of the Texas Hill Country resort community of Kerrville on TX Hwy 16.

The music is featured in three 5-hour concerts starting each evening at 7 PM. The outdoor theater gates open at 6 PM. Come early and get your favorite spot reserved with a blanket or a pillow on the wooden benches or bring your own chair and sit on the hill. Also plan to come out for the 2-hour afternoon concerts from 1 - 3PM on Saturday and Sunday at the Threadgill Theater under covered seating.

The performers for the Friday August 29th evening concert includes Willy Porter (WI), Seth Glier (MA), Nora Jane Struthers & the Party Line (TN) and Ponty Bone (TX).

Saturday's evening concert line-up consists of Ariana Gillis (Canada), Dave Gunning (Canada), Charlie A'Court (Canada), Jon Dee & William Graham (TX) and Vance Gilbert (MA).

Sunday night will feature Darryl Purpose (CO), Amilia Spicer (CA),The Sherpas (TX,TN,CA), Patrice Pike (TX) and Joe King Carrasco (Mexico).

Festivities also include a BrewFest presenting Texas Microbrews in addition to the wonderful Texas wines that have been featured during this Labor Day event for over 20 years. The seminar for Texas wines and food pairings will be on Saturday from 3:30 - 5:30PM and the seminar for Microbrews on Sunday from 3:30 - 5:30PM. This year the wine seminar will be titled 'A Salute to Rod with Reds' in remembrance of the Festival Founder, Rod Kennedy, who passed in April of this year.

After 6 p.m. each evening, the Texas wineries and microbreweries will be in booths in the main stage theater where they will have tastes, glasses, and bottles of their current wines and brews available for sale. A booth featuring Home Brewers will be doing informational seminars and have home brewing equipment available for sale.

Be a VIP at the Kerrville Fall Music Festival! This is the second year for these VIP gatherings for those that would like to visit with friends and partake of catered food, wine and beer in a reserved space in the Kennedy Theater Mainstage. They will be from 7 - 10PM all three nights. Included with the package are three night Event Tickets, which include parking and camping, the catered food and drink, including a Pancake Breakfast, and a Kerrville Memorabilia Gift Bag. Some surprises for those are still to be determined. (A teaser: 15TH Anniversary record albums, yes the round black vinyl discs.....) New this year is a Pancake Breakfast cooked and served by the Kerrville Folk Festival Foundation board members. It will be at the covered Threadgill Theater in the campgrounds on Saturday at 11:30AM. It is included in the VIP package but can also be purchased at the Festival for $10. The breakfast leads into a concert from 1 - 3PM featuring kids from MUSIC CAMP FOR TEENS sponsored at Quiet Valley Ranch by Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Texas and the Kerrville Folk Festival Foundation every July for the past 10 + years. Additional sponsoring organizations SHOULDER TO THE STONE and MUSIC DOING GOOD will also be participating. Some of the Music Camp kids will sing songs they have been working up in rehearsals with Festival performing artists. Bill Ward and Ken Gaines from Shoulder to the Stone, Jena Kirkpatrick the poetry faculty for Music Camp for Teens and Ray Younkin from Music Doing Good will be performing at the concert. Festival attendees can come for breakfast and stay for the concert to support the camp and the artists working with the kids.

Food and beverages are available in the theater and the campgrounds. There are Arts & Crafts booths in the Kennedy Mainstage Theater area, escorted hill country bike rides, yoga, and like the Kerrville Folk Festival in the spring, the spectacular after-hours song circles and jam sessions in the campgrounds.

The three-day, Labor Day weekend advance discount adult ticket price is $100 and includes campground access and lot parking. Single-day, advance discounted tickets are currently available as well.
