Telemundo announced the winners of the "Latin American Music Awards" (Latin AMAs), which paid tribute to today's most prominent and iconic Latin artists, as voted by the fans in the tradition of the "American Music Awards," the world's largest fan-voted award show. On a night filled with high energy performances and surprise collaborations from a diverse array of English and Latin music artists, Ozuna (3) and CNCO (3), were tied as the night's top winners. Produced by Telemundo and Somos Productions, the Latin AMAs opened with the fashionable and glamorous arrival of the stars on the red carpet at the iconic Hollywood Boulevard, as they made their way into the prestigious Dolby Theatre where the awards ceremony took place. This year the Awards show celebrated women in music and was hosted by a formidable group of women including Aracely Arambula, Becky G, Gloria Trevi, Lesley Grace and Roselyn Sanchez.

The Latin AMAs featured electrifying performances by popular Spanish-language and English-language artists among Latinos. The show opened with Wisin y Yandel reuniting after five years to perform the worldwide premiere of "Reggaeton en lo Oscuro." In one of the most emotional moments of the night, Gloria Trevi selected the Latin AMAs stage to perform "Ellas, Soy yo," a new song authored by her and inspired by the current social movement impacting women today. Daddy Yankee also delivered a special performance with "Yo Contra Ti," a collaboration with the Puerto Rican Symphony Orchestra that gives voice to women fighting cancer, and raises funds for Susan G Komen; other memorable performances included: Anitta "Medicina," La Arrolladora Banda El Limon de Rene Camacho "Entre Beso y Beso," Zion & Lennox "Hola," Christian Nodal "Te Falle" Nacho "No Te Va," Becky G, CNCO and Leslie Grace with "Diganle," Pitbull, Prince Royce and Ludacris "Quiero Saber" and "Dame tu Cosita," Banda MS de Sergio Lizarraga "Mejor Me Alejo," Becky G and Joss Favela "Pienso en Ti," Maluma "Mala Mia," Farruko "Inolvidable," CNCO "Ella Se Vuelve Loca," Lele Pons "Celoso," Prince Royce and Maluma "El Clavo," and finally the spectacular closing of the show with Alvaro Soler, Flo Rida and Tini singing "La Cintura."

Pop music sensation CNCO took home three awards including Favorite Duo or Group, Favorite Artist- Pop and Favorite Album-Pop, with "CNCO". Ozuna also won three awards including Favorite Artist - Urban, and his album "Odisea" was recognized for Album of the year, and Favorite Album-Urban. Artists that won twoawards included: Bad Bunny for Artist of the Year and Favorite Song-Urban, for his collaboration with Becky G on "Mayores". Becky G took home two awards including the previously mentioned Favorite Song-Urban for "Mayores," and Favorite Artist-Female. Christian Nodal was named Favorite Artist-Regional Mexican and won for Favorite Album-Regional Mexican with "Me Dejé Llevar". Daddy Yankee earned an award for Favorite Artist -Male and was the recipient of the special Icon Award. Single award winners include: Camila Cabello for Favorite Crossover Artist; Carlos Vives and Sebastian Yatra took home Favorite Song-Pop for their collaboration "Robarte Un Beso"; Luis Fonsi and Demi Lovato won Song of The Year for their collaboration "Echame la Culpa"; Luis Miguel earned an award for Favorite Tour; Nachotook home an award for Favorite Song-Tropical with "Bailame"; Raymix won for Favorite Song -Regional Mexican with "Oye Mujer"; Romeo Santos was named Favorite Artist -Tropical; Victor Manuelle won an award for Favorite Album- Tropical with "Victor Manuelle 25/7"; Anitta was recognized for Favorite Videowith "Medicina", and finally Maluma was honored with the Extraordinary Evolution award.
