Front and Center Entertainment, LLC, a fast-growing entertainment media and production company that creates content for television and digital distribution and produces the critically-acclaimed music performance television series, Front and Center, and television interview series Speakeasy, is pleased to announce an exclusive event of the filming of platinum selling alt-pop trio lovelytheband at SIR Studios in Los Angeles on February 18th for an upcoming episode of the popular television show.
"We are excited to add lovelytheband to our slate of great Front and Center musical acts," stated Don Maggi, Executive Producer of Front and Center. "The band had a huge 2018 and kicked off 2019 in excellent fashion, with their multiple iHeart Radio Music Awards nominations, upcoming appearance on ABC's American Idol and just having had their smash hit 'broken' recently certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America. It's going to be an exceptional show with a fantastic band."
lovelytheband join an eclectic mix of top GRAMMY, Country Music Association, American Music and Academy of Country Music Award winners, rock icons and multi-platinum acts to appear on Front and Center. Musical artists have included Keith Urban, Carlos Santana, Shawn Mendes, Steven Tyler, Miranda Lambert, Dua Lipa, as well as The Fray, Darius Rucker, Lady Antebellum, Sheryl Crow, Goo Goo Dolls, Cyndi Lauper, Dierks Bentley, Jack Johnson, Counting Crows, and many more.
The band skyrocketed in 2018, soaring to new levels. "broken," the single off their debut album finding it hard to smile (RED MUSIC), reached #1 on the Adult Top 40 and Alternative radio charts as well as reached the top 15 on Top 40 radio. The track amassed over 2 billion in total radio audience. After being the first to break the record in 2018 for the longest running #1 track on Alternative Radio at 6 weeks, the single has been on the Alternative radio charts for over a year, and has spent 6 months on the Adult Top 40 chart. The song has been in the top 10 for 50 weeks, currently at #7 on the chart. The song has over 190 million streams worldwide.
In addition to the band's success in the music industry, they will be making their big screen debut in 2019 in This Is The Year, a film by David Henrie (Wizards of Waverly Place, Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2). The directorial debut by the successful actor Henrie takes the audience through a millennial coming of age story about five teenagers who decide to leave their local world behind and take one last road trip before graduation to see the greatest rock festival on earth with their favorite band - lovelytheband - where they learn more than music and discover a lot about themselves.
"Not only will it be a great addition to our growing catalog of fantastic live shows taped for television but filming lovelytheband for Front and Center as part of David's film is going to be special. It ties in the band, the film and our show, all of which are hitting highs right now," added Maggi. "How cool is that?Front and Center, where else would you rather be?"
