Friendly Fires Releases New Single HEAVEN LET ME IN

Today, Monday October 15, Friendly Fires return with their second brand new song of 2018. Built around a euphoric, clipped, 'French touch' style loop, "Heaven Let Me In" is co-produced with Disclosure and was written in one late night session at the lauded electronic duo's north London studio. The single launched in the UK as Annie Mac's "hottest record in the world." Talking about the track, Friendly Fires' Ed Macfarlanesays:
"'Heaven Let Me In' is a song about being comfortable in your own skin. When you stop trying so hard and embrace your imperfections then opportunities arise and doors open."
"Heaven Let Me In" is the second time these artists have collaborated -- Friendly Fires frontman Ed Macfalane previously contributed vocals to Disclosure's debut album (on "Defeated No More").
Summer 2018 has truly been one to remember for St Albans trio Friendly Fires. The band - comprised of Ed Macfarlane, Edd Gibson and Jack Savidge - returned to the recorded music and live arenas this year following a hiatus, to remind us all exactly why we fell in love with them in the first place. First came the anthemic, Mark Ralph-produced, Radio 1 playlisted comeback single "Love Like Waves," which was met with widespread acclaim. Then launching into a summer of high profile festival appearances (not to mention a sold out headline show at London's legendary, 5000 capacity Brixton Academy), Friendly Fires would go on to headline some of the UK's best loved festivals - including Festival No 6, Lost Village and Truck Festival - in addition to show-stealing performances if front of hundreds of thousands of fans around the world.
Today's single is another tantalizing pointer towards the sound of Friendly Fires third album, set for release in 2019. With the band sounding as fresh and vital as ever, it's a clear indication that the band can match, exceed even, the success of their acclaimed previous albums Friendly Fires and Pala and all the accolades (including Brit Awards and Mercury Prize nominations) they picked up along the way.
