French Vanilla Drops New Video, Live Dates w/ Aye Nako, Potty Mouth + More

Los Angeles feminist art-punk band French Vanilla release their highly anticipated full-length self-titled album tomorrow on Danger Collective Records. The nine vigorous tracks regulate the dance floor with socially sensitive lyrics, vocal freneticism, punchy basslines, and catchy sax. The band previously released a smattering of socially conscious, rib-rattling singles and shared the full album stream last week. Created by William Kaminski who achieved local cult fame in LA last year for his Kurt Cobain Haunted House, the brand new video for album cut "Carrie" features a cameo from Girlpool's Cleo Tucker and will possess you to watch on repeat! Cleo's cameo follows French Vanilla frontwoman Sally Spitz' feature in Girlpool's most recent video, "123". The "Carrie" video premiered with BrooklynVegan today and is available to post/share HERE.

Delivering performances filled with infectious energy and enthusiasm, the band has shared stages with Girlpool, Screaming Females, Tacocat, Genesis P-Orridge and Cherry Glazerr. West Coasters will have two new chances to experience the explosive live show including an album release show at legendary art-punk venue The Smell on March 23.

French Vanilla is made up of Max Albeck (drums), Ali Day (guitar/bass), Sally Spitz (vocals), and Daniel Trautfield (bass/sax). Half-driven by a desire to challenge the established SoCal music scene, dominated by a few influential (male) tastemakers, and half by a desire to hang out with friends, FV started in LA's queer punk underground and it is in these spaces that they feel the most at home.
