In late 2015, French musician and producer FRED FALKE released the ALPHA EP (Pantheon Musique), his first batch of new music in more than four years.
With FALKE handling bass, keyboard and programming duties, it is an infectious showcase of his eclecticism including "It's A Memory," a gentle sing-along pop number featuring Los Angeles indie rockers Elohim and Mansions On The Moon.
Today the French Touch pioneer's IT'S A MEMORY remix EP is now available -- a collection of remixes by Oliver, Chrome Sparks, Amtrac, Ferdinand Weber and more.
Also available now via Vevo is the "It's A Memory" video with a Tarantino-style storyline continuation from the ALPHA EP's first single "Radio Days." Directed by Jérôme Bernard, the clip -- which made its premiere earlier this week via Pitchfork -- follows the pursuit of a rogue piece of Fred Falke vinyl that gets bigger and bigger as it rolls through rural California and then topples off a seaside cliff.

In a career that's already spanned 15 years, producer, DJ, remixer andsongwriter FRED FALKE has been at the forefront of electronic music. Growing up in Toulouse, France, FALKE initially studied finance before quickly realising he could only dedicate his time to things he was actually passionate about. Almost by accident he fell into music, learning the bass guitar after noticing that most bands seemed to have neglected hiring bassists, and learning the piano after his father and grandfather. FRED enrolled in France's equivalent of the Berkley School of Music to study jazz, moved to Hong Kong, and met fellow Frenchman Alan Braxe in a record-shop upon returning to Paris. The pair's classic "Intro," released in 2000 came to define French Touch: a scene that also included the likes of Daft Punk andCassius. Later, at the behest of production alchemist Brian Higgins, FALKE worked at U.K.-based pop laboratory Xenomania, helping create forward-thinking pop songs for the likes of Ellie Goudling and Gossip. Running alongside these collaborations have been two solo albums, and a myriad of hugely influential remixes for acts such as Robyn, Lana Del Rey and U2. His most recent offering is ALPHA, a four track EP featuring "Radio Days," a Chic-filtered, L.A-inspired disco tune, featuring a voiceover from legendary Los Angeles radio DJ 'Shotgun' Tom Kelly, a gentle sing-along pop number featuring Elohim and Mansions On The Moon, "It's A Memory," dance floor burner "All Of My Love," and the solid groove machine "Crepuscule" with it's danceable guitar licks courtesy of celebrated guitarist Brent Paschke (Pharrell Williams, Katy Perry). FRED FALKE's second solo album will be released in 2016.
