Foo Fighters' ninth studio album Concrete and Gold has entered the Billboard 200 at #1, with sales of nearly 130,000 copies in the first week since its September 15 release on Roswell Records/RCA Records.

The second FF album to hit #1 in the U.S.--the first being 2011's Wasting Light-Concrete and Gold has also posted the band's biggest ever first week numbers outside its home country. At press time, the album's world domination included #1 debuts in a total of eleven countries: The U.S., the UK (the band's fourth UK #1), Australia (its seventh Australian #1), New Zealand (its sixth #1 in New Zealand), Canada (the band's third Canadian #1), Ireland (first FF #1 since 2002), Norway, Austria, Greece, Japan and the Netherlands-the latter three territories seeing their first #1 Foo Fighters record. Additionally, Concrete and Gold bowed at #2 in Germany, Sweden, Italy and Belgium, #3 in Finland, and #9 in France, marking the band's first French top 10 debut.

Additional #1 debuts are expected as international sales numbers are tallied throughout the coming week.

Concrete and Gold's arrival was most recently heralded by "The Sky Is A Neighborhood," visually realized as a Grohl-directed kaleidoscopic sci-fi mini-epic as hypnotic as the slow burning stadium stomper that gave it life. The run-up to Concrete and Gold began just as auspiciously, with the June 1 surprise release of the Billboard Mainstream Rock #1 smash summer anthem of 2017, "Run." With more than 2 million YouTube views in its first 24 hours, "Run" rocketed into the top 5 of the iTunes video chart and the top of the 15 iTunes singles chart-quickly amassing the highest first-day numbers of any single in the Foo Fighters' career. And now finally 2017's most massive and ambitious rock n roll opus is available to all as it sits atop the global charts.

Concrete and Gold will naturally be supported with an extensive trek of the arena, stadium and festival stages of the world. The U.S. leg kicks off October 7 with the band's Cal Jam 17 festival at Glen Helen Regional Park in San Bernardino, CA: a non-stop 100% live 12-hour rock n roll extravaganza featuring Queens Of The Stone Age, Cage The Elephant, Liam Gallagher, The Kills, Royal Blood, Japandroids, Wolf Alice, Bob Mould, The Struts, Bully, Circa Waves, Babes in Toyland, Adia Victoria, Fireball Ministry, The Obsessed, Pinky Pinky, Starcrawler, White Reaper... as well as camping, carnival rides, a water park, attractions, a mobile recording studio & so much more. On Friday night, October 6, campers will also experience the world's best Go-Go band Big Tony & Trouble Funk, an outdoor movie theater and many other surprises.

Concrete and Gold was written and performed by Foo Fighters, produced by Greg Kurstin and Foo Fighters, and mixed by Darrell Thorp. Foo Fighters are Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett, Pat Smear and Rami Jaffee.
