Billboard.com reports that Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line have announced the country duo's latest cross-genre collaboration: a joint effort between FGL and the Backstreet Boys.

"In the studio with my @backstreetboys recording a song for @flagaline new album," Carter wrote on Instagram. "Also working on the new backstreet album as well. Get ready!!!"

Kelley recently confessed to fans that Carter & Co. were a formative influence. "Backstreet Boys was my first concert," he reportedly noted during a show in South Dakota.

Florida Georgia Line's last album, Anything Goes, arrived in 2014, while the Backstreet Boys released In A World Like This back in 2013. FGL's next full-length is due in August. First single "H.O.L.Y." jumped from No. 39 to No. 1 on the Hot Country Songs chart earlier this year.

Florida Georgia Line is an American country music duo consisting of vocalists Brian Kelley (from Ormond Beach, Florida) and Tyler Hubbard (from Monroe, Georgia). They have achieved major success since their inception and are one of the most successful country music acts of the 2010s. Their 2012 single "Cruise" is the best-selling digital country song of all time in the United States as of January 2014. Florida Georgia Line was formed in 2010 in Nashville, Tennessee. In December 2011, they signed a publishing/ production/ management deal with Big Loud Mountain, Craig Wiseman's (Big Loud Shirt Publishing), Joey Moi's (Mountain View Records), and Kevin "Chief" Zaruk's (Chief Music Management) partnership. Their second EP, It'z Just What We Do, charted on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart.
