Field Day Announces Second Wave of Artists Including Death Grips, FLOHIO, Kojey Radical, Mahalia and Femi Kuti Image

Today Field Day have announced their second wave of artists including experimental hip-hop trio Death Grips, formidable breakthrough MC FLOHIO, BBC Sound of 2019 favourite Mahalia, rap-redefining Kojey Radical, afrobeat jazz-force Femi Kuti and Maya Jane Coles' alias Nocturnal Sunshine.

For 2019 Field Day will extend until 3AM with their Late Night programme, an official on-site after party across the largest warehouse party space in London. This new early hours curfew will make Field Day the latest festival in London.

Nocturnal Sunshine, George FitzGerald DJ Set, Modeselektor DJ Set, Mella Dee and more lead the heavyweight Late Night line-up. Add-on tickets start from just £16.50.

A festival highlight for many in 2017, Sacramento experimentalists Death Grips make their return to the Field Day stage on Friday. Their riotous, punk-infused hip-hop sound carries unparalleled energy and promises to be an uncompromising performance.

Topping an impressive list of ones-to-watch last year, boundary-breaking and intelligent rap-force FLOHIO and soulful next big thing Mahalia also join Field Day alongside young experimentalist Kojey Radical, who will bring his captivating spoken word experience to the festival. Slacker-melody maestro Alfie Templeman and former Mac Demarco guitarist-turned-indie pop favourite Homeshake will take to the stage to perform material from their new projects and expect an unmissable eclectic mix of funk, Afrobeat, and soul from Femi Kuti.

Also joining the pioneering line-up, John Talabot will perform an electrifying set, Nocturnal Sunshine (aka Maya Jane Coles) will be taking over with her dark, bass-heavy tracks and slick soul star Jvck James will perform. Berlin electronic duo Modeselektor and the gigantic sound of George FitzGerald DJ Set have been added to the line-up, as well as their already announced live performances. Dynamic producer Roosevelt, sonic sound-machine Celeste and seasoned DJ Grainger join a series of eclectic sets.

The largest warehouse party space in London will open its doors as part of the onsite Late Night after party, from 10:30pm until 3am. Providing dancefloor-pounding DJ sets, Nocturnal Sunshine, Modeselektor and George FitzGerald will take to the former gasworks warehouse fresh from their daytime Field Day shows. The after party will also host sets from downtempo deep house disruptor LEON VYNEHALL, the genre-flippingMella Dee, Canadian rave pioneer Tiga, disco titan Denis Sulta and BBC Radio 1 Resident HAAi, whose absorbing and slow-release style is truly original.

The newly announced names will join an incredibly eclectic mix of acts including Bonobo DJ Set, Earl Sweatshirt, Pusha-T, Sinkane, Diplo, Jungle, Octavian, The Black Madonna, headliners Jorja Smithand Skepta, and many more.

In a first for London festivals, global culture disruptor Boiler Room joins the bill as Field Day's official broadcast partner, live streaming performances from their own stage. This signals a seminal meeting of two of London's most formidable forces in music.

London's foremost industrial clubbing spot Printworks will take the helm at the 7,500 capacity flagship warehouse space, and will be hosting both Late Night after parties.

Both will be collaborating with Field Day on specially-curated stages showcasing the most exciting acts in the underground electronic scene today.

Speaking about the line-up additions, Field Day co-founder Tom Baker said:

"I'm thrilled to bring back the mighty Death Grips to Field Day. They are an absolute force of nature and truly mind-bendingly brilliant live. They're playing alongside some of the hottest and most exciting new acts around with Celeste and Charlotte Adigéry both playing Field Dat for the first time. Also super excited about Femi Kuti and Kojey Radical joining such an exciting and diverse bill".

2019 marks an evolution of gigantic proportions as Field Day moves to a groundbreaking new location in North London. Situated next to Tottenham Marshes Field Day is taking over an old gas works, the new location is made up of an enormous ten-acre outdoor space with four giant, interlinked warehouses, the largest of which will be the biggest warehouse venue for music in the city (7,500 cap).

Over the past 12 years, Field Day has hosted some of the world's most iconic artists across a spectrum of genres alongside the very best in up-and-coming talent including Aphex Twin, Erykah Badu, Patti Smith, Loyle Carner, PJ Harvey and Charlotte Gainsbourg. Having resided in Victoria Park for 10 years, before moving to Brockwell Park last year, Field Day will embark on a new chapter in 2019.

Field Day are working closely with Enfield Council, who are leading a 20-year regeneration of the Meridian Water area as they aim to create a true 24-hour neighbourhood - a new destination to enjoy nightlife, music, theatre, cinema and much more, all year round.
