"Heavy Flag" is about critical thinking about the future," the group's Savannah Buist tells Billboard, "using our voices to make change." Bandmate Katie Larson, 22, adds that, "We want our generation to show up. We need to encourage people that everyone's voice counts."
"Heavy Flag" speaks to the cost of societal apathy and invites the listener to find their own voice. It's a timely call to action from a group that Texas Lifestyle Magazine calls "defiant, young - powerful, and undaunted."
The Accidentals kicked off 2018 with the release of their debut label album, Odyssey, on Sony Masterworks garnering praise from NPR, Huffington Post,Billboard, and more. They followed the album release with two-hundred days of touring the entire United States, seventeen festival performances, sync placement with Turner Classic Movies and FOX Sports, and a RAM Trucks BandVan #tourtough commercial. They are currently touring nationally, and their music can be found online, on all streaming platforms, at Barnes and Noble, and at their shows.
