Cleverly conceived as the female answer to LMFAO, multi-talented DJ/Rapper Steph Prost and classically trained pop singer Amanda Maze - collectively known as the explosive L.A.-based electro-pop duo STASH - have signed for exclusive representation with Central Entertainment Group (CEG), a New York-based full service boutique pop culture agency headquartered in Times Square.
Rick Davis, the CEG agent who is now representing them, says, "STASH caught my ears instantly." Speaking of their infectious debut single, the "lousy ex-boyfriend" inspired anthem "Tear Me Down," he adds, "It's going to be the big summer hit of 2015 - count on it!"
"Tear Me Down" is currently making an impact at Top 40 radio, reaching #7 on the Mediabase Top 40 Pop Independent Label/Artist Most Active rankings and #56 on the BDS Top 40 Indicator Chart.
Established in 1998, CEG (www.cegtalent.com) specializes in event marketing and production, booking talent for tours and one-off special events both domestically and internationally. The company represents well-known names in music, television, film and entertainment and books over a thousand shows a year. These include concerts, nightclubs, theaters, casinos, fairs and festivals, as well as corporate and private events worldwide. CEG also provides each client with one-stop comprehensive entertainment consultation to ensure a successful career in show business for years to come.
STASH, who scored a win at the 2014 Hollywood Music in Media Awards (HMMA) for their song "Strip Me Bare" and a nomination for "Red Cup! Pinky Up," has also hit Music Connection Magazine's "Hot 100 Live Unsigned Artists & Bands List" for 2014. The full list appears in the December 2014 issue.
The concept for STASH originated when Steph - a San Antonio native and master at creating fresh mash-ups - had built a great rep producing and DJing for exclusive private parties and events. A few years later, Steph's vision, ambition and funky way with a rap sets the groove for the powerhouse vocals of classically trained pop singer Amanda Maze.
With a musical partnership driven by natural chemistry and a playful, laid back friendship, they're having blast as STASH, gearing up to unleash their high-energy pop meets electro-pop (or, as they like to dub it, "poppy house") on the world.
