A Fat Wreck : The Punk-u-mentary, the music documentary film about the influential California punk label Fat Wreck Chords comes to VOD and Blu-ray/DVD November 22nd via The Orchard and Something Kreative. A Fat Wreck is successfully crowdfunded music doc that premiered at Dallas International Film Festival. It is the first to feature puppet reenactments and was produced by open-ended films and directed by first-time director Shaun M. Colón.

About Fat Wreck Chords: Fat Wreck Chords is an independent punk rock record label founded in 1991 by "Fat Mike" Burkett and his then girlfriend, future wife, and further-in-the-future ex-wife Erin Burkett. Over the past 25+ years, Fat Wreck Chords has put out over 150 albums and 300 total releases, selling over one million records per year at its peak. A hugely influential part of the pop-punk explosion of the late 90s/early 2000s, Fat Wreck Chords brought punk music to larger and larger audiences through a hugely successful mail-order operation and a series of "Fat Music" label compilations.
About the Filmmakers: Shaun Colón is the owner/operator of open-ended films. Shaun has directed on doc shorts, music videos, promo videos and in 2016 completed his first feature length documentary about the indie label, Fat Wreck Chords. The award winning doc has been screened in film festivals around the world and is being distributed worldwide by the Orchard. He currently resides in Dallas, Texas with his daughter Tessa and his wife Jenni.
